What is r&d?

R&D abbreviation is short for research and development. It has three major parts: Pure/Basic research, applied research, and finally development.

It is the process of discovering new knowledge without any specific application in mind.

It is the application of research to serve a defined objective (for example: solving specific problems).

So, what could r&d service be?

The r&d department focuses on two things:

  •  Problem Solving: That’s when we already have a product, but it can be improved it, so the r&d engineer tries to work on one of these points or all of them (enhance performance, lower the coast, add features).
  •  New Ideas: In this case dreams come to life. Many inventions and improved products started as a fictional idea (ex: smart homes, robots, AI...etc), then R&D engineers kept researching, testing and validating the prototype; to make them come to life. 5.Commercialization: where you finally see your hard work pays oof and ready to be used by the customers.
