FORTEC Elektronik AG Acquires NOTTROT B.V., Strengthening Presence in Maritime and Defence Sectors

FORTEC Elektronik AG announces the successful acquisition of NOTTROT B.V., a Netherlands-based specialist in high-performance monitor systems for maritime, defence, and industrial applications.
This strategic step significantly expands FORTEC’s footprint across Central Europe, unlocking direct access to the maritime data visualisation market and reinforcing the Group’s presence in the defence technology sector. It also supports FORTEC’s long-term vision of enhancing its technological depth and vertical integration in future-critical application areas.
Established in 2000 and headquartered in Oosterhout, North Brabant, NOTTROT B.V. has built a strong reputation for delivering robust, application-specific display technologies. The company currently employs around 8 people and reported a revenue of €3.2 million and EBIT of €0.8 million in the 2024 financial year.Strategic Expansion in Central Europe
This acquisition marks a key milestone in FORTEC’s long-term growth strategy. It strengthens the Group’s position in Central Europe, enables direct entry into the maritime data visualisation market, and reinforces its capabilities in the defence technology sector.
It also supports FORTEC’s broader goal of expanding its technological base and deepening vertical integration across future-oriented application areas.

Transaction Details
The acquisition was fully financed from FORTEC’s existing cash reserves. The signing of the purchase agreement marks the conclusion of a collaborative and forward-looking succession process between the management teams of both companies.
